Charley Viola
After landing in Vail in 1987, Charley Viola enjoyed a 20-year career in hospitality and real estate where he managed the operation within The Lodge at Vail under Orient Express Hotels, and later, Vail Resorts. As a part of this elaborate role, he also managed the real estate operation in The Lodge at Vail for both companies.
Charley kicked off his real estate career in 1994 and while seasoned in some of the finest Vail Village properties, he has since expanded into more sundry real estate realms such as commercial and trophy ranch properties.
Subsequently, Charley developed Independence Management in 2008, a luxury property management business overseeing all functional aspects of the Lodge at Vail Condominiums, a mountain multiplex, as well The Chalets at The Lodge at Vail, all with a combined value of over 500 million dollars.
Amidst a successful career in luxury real estate sales, resort administration, property management, and consulting for LACA for over 15 years, Charley was asked to take over the condo association and perform an elevated capacity of HOA and lodging duties. Successively, he founded the short-term rental company, Lodge at Vail Condominiums in 2021, with the goal of offering luxury accommodation rentals coupled with a superior degree of guest service – a product unique to the Vail market.
Intellectually dexterous, humble, and hilarious – Charley leads Viola Real Estate Firm, LACA HOA, Independence Management, and Lodge at Vail Condominium Rental Firm with style, humility, and exuberance.
Rachel McKeefer
Rachel has a passion for people, community, and the Vail Valley, all of which make her a perfect fit for real estate. Rachel studied Hospitality and Tourism at Colorado State University graduating with a Bachelors in Global Tourism, and a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management. Working at The Lodge at Vail and Four Seasons Vail for years taught her the skills necessary to navigate the fast-paced real estate industry with ease. When she is not facilitating showings and transactions, the avid skier, hiker, and adventurer loves to spend her time outside. Whether it be backpacking through the Sawatch Range or backcountry skiing the Gore Range, Rachel’s love for travel, adventure, and the outdoors has taken her all over the world – but she is always happy to come home.
As a current resident of Edwards and an Eagle County native, she finds that living in the valley fits her lifestyle and provides her an opportunity to get outside for the fresh mountain air as much as possible. She understands and cherishes the numerous intangible benefits of life in the Rocky Mountains and wants everyone to feel as fortunate as she does to call Vail home.
